About Amanda Bear, JD
Bio
Amanda Bear is a private attorney in Lexington, Kentucky focusing on children’s law and criminal defense. Until recently, she was the Managing Attorney of Children’s Law Center, a non-profit legal organization providing legal advocacy to youth. Prior to joining CLC, she spent over ten years as a Public Defender, where she was a Juvenile Specialist, and the Directing Attorney at two different trial offices.
Amanda has experience in both juvenile and adult criminal cases, including complex youthful offender and death penalty cases. While at CLC, she also honed her skills on education law and school discipline issues. Amanda spent two years as an adjunct professor for Morehead State University in both the Sociology and Legal Studies Departments. A life-long Kentucky resident, she received her JD from Chase College of Law in 2005.
